Pre-Game Motivation Week #7

I believe that we can control our destiny to some extent but the majority of our life path is determined by God.  I believe that He places visions in our head to give us guidance from day to day.  I see these dreams as my GPS.  I believe that God puts these thoughts in my head, to inspire and empower thousands of people, maybe millions.  But my point is, you have your own thoughts, God has placed visions in your head to show you where you have the ability go in life.  It's up to you to get it.

How hard are you willing to go to become who you are meant to be?  I've been pushing you hard.  I know.  I've been harping on maximum focus and effort.  I know.  The season is starting to take a toll on you physically, I know, but you must keep control mentally.  We don't have the room to lose focus.

I'm going to put out a mid-season blog later this week that will show how the area is lining up statistically.  Some people are on track to crush the goals they set for themselves this year.  Others, not so much.  You still have over half of a season left to get your life together.  I say it all of the time, but you know what it takes to get the opportunity to play on a college football team. You know that you must dominate the competition on this level.  You must take advantage of this opportunity to up your stock.  When the recruiters begin to rearrange recruiting boards, it's going to be based upon stats and film from right now.  This is your resume. Understand that.

I know that that you can't control everything that happens on the football field.  I know this.  I play.  But one thing you can control is your effort and the level at which you're prepared.  Ray Lewis wasn't on every single tackle because of luck; that man willed his way to those tackles.  He played with a sickening, intimidating amount of effort that showed in his production.

Give it your all tomorrow. Leave nothing. Be willing to die out there, legit. When the buzzer rings after the fourth quarter of your final game this season you want to look back and say you worked hard and whatever happens after that point is in God's hands.  "However, you can't say it's in God's hands unless you are willing to risk it all for your goal right now.". Social life doesn't matter.  Girls don't matter, friends don't even matter.  Are they going to pay for your college tuition?? I'm speaking out of experience. I work hard, man. I work hard.  But God is rewarding me with the desires of my heart.  These things don't come at a cheap cost though.  I have sacrificed everything I once knew for Janesh to prosper.  Each night I work until my eyes won't stay open, go to sleep, I wake up, and do it again.

Whoever you are reading this, work hard out there. God will reward you.  Cut the distractions and focus in.  Relentless effort.

- Janesh
